Athletic Field

The BCRP Permits Team is excited to announce that we are now accepting athletic field applications for the 2026 Spring and Summer season, which will run from April 1 to August 31, 2026. Please use this link to apply: https://forms.office.com/g/kTyBRY2ULM.
As we continue our historical reset process to improve scheduling fairness and equity across leagues and organizations, please review the updated application schedule, fees, and policies below.
Registration Windows
- Baltimore City Schools: Tuesday, November 25th, 2025
- All Others: Monday, December 1, 2025
During our permit open forum sessions, it was requested that permit acceptances be issued 60 days prior to the start of the season, rather than the traditional 45 days. In order to accommodate this request and ensure we have adequate time to review applications, resolve any conflicts, and complete processing, we will be implementing a defined submission window for the upcoming season.
To receive your permit 60 days prior to the April 1 season start, your application must be submitted no later than Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Applications submitted within the two-week window:
- Will be reviewed and processed for issuance 60 days prior to the season start.
Applications submitted after the window closes:
- Will continue to be processed; however, issuance will follow the standard timeline of 45 days prior to the season start.
This process allows us to meet the requested 60-day issuance timeline while ensuring fair and efficient review of all permit requests.
2026 Updates and Reminders
Fee Adjustments:
Please note that field usage fees have increased for 2026 to reflect updated maintenance and operational costs. The new rates are as follows:

Starting in January, these and other fees will be available on the application portal and BCRP website.
- Application Fee:
- A non-refundable $10.00 application fee is required for each athletic field request. Requests submitted within 14 days of your desired date will incur a $20 rush fee. Please note that rush requests are subject to approval and may be denied based on availability.
- Game and Practice Schedules:
- All game and practice schedules must be submitted no later than 21 days before the start of your reservation. Approved permits without a schedule may be forfeited.
- Payments:
- New Reminder: Payment plans are no longer available. All fees must be paid in full by March 31, 2026. Note: if your permit date is prior to April 1, you are responsible for paying all fees prior to the first date of your field reservation. Permits will be cancelled if payment is not received by that date.
- Cancellations and Adjustments:
- Changes to approved permits (dates, times, or locations) must be made within seven (7) days after the start of the season. After that period, no refunds or credits will be issued. Weather-related cancellations are exempt.
- Weather credits are issued if approved through our field maintenance team or if photos of unplayable conditions are submitted within 48 hours of the unplayed game.
- Permit Issuance:
- Permits will not be issued until all required documentation (game/practice schedule, photo ID, and insurance certificate) and full payment have been received. Applicants with outstanding balances will not receive permits.
- Liability Insurance:
- Coverage must be in the amount of $1,000,000 and include the following wording in the policy description box:
- “The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, the Department of Recreation & Parks, and employees of the City of Baltimore are named as additional insured for (Name/League Name) on (Policy Beginning Date – Policy Ending Date) to be held at (All BCRP Parks).”
- Coverage must be in the amount of $1,000,000 and include the following wording in the policy description box:
Application Reminder:
Please limit each application to one location. Separate applications and fees are required for each location. Applications listing multiple fields from multiple parks will be cancelled and removed from the system.
